We firmly believe that every individual deserves equal access to the opportunities, support, and services they need to live a safe, meaningful, and fulfilling life. Our commitment is to ensure that our staff, volunteers, and clients are always heard, respected, and represented. We stand for equity and advocacy, giving a strong and compassionate voice to those who need it most.
We treat every individual with dignity and respect, free from judgment. By seeking to understand each person’s unique circumstances, we empower them to lead their best lives. Guided by kindness and empathy, we remain supportive and generous with our time, knowledge, and efforts.
We are a welcoming and inclusive organisation that embraces people of all cultures, abilities, genders, life stages, beliefs, sexual orientations, and circumstances. We value diversity and believe that what unites us is a shared commitment to living positive lives and building a strong, supportive community where no one is left behind.
We are proud to lead innovation in our sector—challenging convention, embracing change, and disrupting the ordinary. With a commitment to quality and excellence, we continually create new and better ways to meet the evolving needs of our clients and their families.
From the moment we are born, we seek belonging—within family, among friends, and in the wider community. With the support of those around us, we find the strength to discover who we are, where we belong, and how we can reach our fullest potential.
At Lutheran Care, we believe communities thrive when every person feels included, valued, and cared for.
Since our founding in 1969 by a group of pioneering Lutheran women in South Australia, we have been strong advocates for equity and compassion. We have long stood beside those who have been overlooked, championing their rights and providing a powerful, enduring voice for the voiceless.
Whoever you are and wherever you come from, we will walk beside you—with respect for every cultural background, sexual orientation, gender identity, belief, and circumstance.
Our mission goes beyond making a lasting, positive impact on people’s lives. We are driven to build hope, foster understanding, and create meaningful, long-term systemic change.
Unbound by convention, we lead with innovation—finding new and better ways to help people discover comfort, purpose, and belonging.
We seek no reward beyond doing what is right. This commitment is what unites us, inspires us, and gives us strength.
Guided by faith and compassion, we listen, advocate, and nurture stronger communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
We are delighted to introduce acclaimed Adelaide-based artist Andrew Baines as Lutheran Care’s first official Ambassador.
Our Ambassador Program celebrates dedicated supporters who go above and beyond to champion our mission—helping us raise awareness and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families in need.
